Market overview: China's graphite electrode market prices remained stable this week. It is understood that due to the recent continuous decline in the price of low-sulfur petroleum coke and the fact that some downstream steel mills of graphite electrodes have a small amount of stocks of graphite electrodes, downstream steel mills have a certain wait-and-see behavior in the purchase of graphite electrodes. The weekly transaction price of graphite electrode market is still slightly confused.

In terms of price: this week, the mainstream price of RP 300-600mm graphite electrodes is 16000-18000 yuan/ton; HP electrodes 18000-21500 yuan/ton; UHP electrodes 21000-28000 yuan/ton; UHP 700mm graphite electrode 32000 -33,000 yuan/ton. China's graphite electrode market price index is 22286, which is the same as that of the same period last week and the same period of last month. The price increased by 42.79% from the beginning of the year and 55.77% from the same period last year.

On the supply side: China's graphite electrode market supply is subject to certain restrictions this week. This week, graphite electrode companies in Shanxi, Hebei, Henan and other places were affected by the "July 1st Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China", and environmental inspections were strict. Some graphite electrode companies in Shanxi suspended operations for 3-4 days, and some graphite electrode companies reduced their production by about 50%; forming processes in Hebei Restricted; from June 26 to July 1 in Henan, the pressing and impregnation processes were restricted. In addition, due to the "July 1st Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China", transportation in some areas was also restricted. After the anniversary activities are over, graphite electrode companies can basically resume normal production, which has little impact on the overall supply of graphite electrode market.

Demand side: The demand side of China's graphite electrode market performed slightly this week. According to feedback from some graphite electrode companies, the downstream steel mills of graphite electrodes were on the sidelines of graphite electrode purchases this week, and individual graphite electrode companies reported that their shipments were slowing down. However, the average start-up of the downstream steel plants of graphite electrodes is still high, and the demand for graphite electrodes still exists.
